Pilot Training Eligibility Criteria

Step 1

For taking a commercial pilot training course, the candidate should be having a student pilot license. SPL candidate must be 12th pass with science as the major stream.

Age Requirement

Candidates should be a minimum of 16 years of age for getting registered in the flying club that is recognized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, coming under Govt. of India.

Registration

The candidate has to provide the medical bank guarantee, medical certificate, and security clearance.

Entrance Examination

The oral examination is conducted by SPI authority in subjects like Aviation Meteorology, Air Navigation, and Air Regulation- Technical & Specific.

Step 2

After obtaining the SPL training, the candidate needs to go through the PP which is Private Pilot Training. This will involve 60 hours of flying in which 15 hours should be in dual flights and accompanied by an instructor. Besides these 30 hours of flying should be solo.

Age Requirement

17 years is the minimum age requirement for this course.

Education Qualification

10+2 and the medical certificate which is issued by the Armed Forces Central Medical establishment are required.
